Platinum Press Green Edition
GOING GREEN!
No, Platinum is not about to tarnish. LOL!!! But all of us at Platinum are very concerned about the environment and we all do our part to recycle and keep our planet green. We thought it might be fun to share a few of these ideas with you this month.
Instead of using paper napkins, how about using cloth instead. Click Here to see our corner designs suitable for napkins. Before you get ready to toss that garbage, is there anything in there you can recycle? Click Here to download our PDF file with some great recycle ideas.
RECYCLE DESIGN!

When we plan a collection, we decide on a theme, and then each of our talented designers creates her designs. Usually, we don't even talk about the designs we are working on, because even if we all chose the same item to digitize, each of us have our own style and interpretation, so they would all still be different. But I think our "Things with Wings" collection is our most eclectic yet!

Lyn thought of the wings on the baby ducks in her pond, a wing tattoo style design, and she also did the dragonfly alphabet.

Carol said when someone mentions 'wings' around her house, they are usually referring to the wings on R/C (Remote Control) airplanes, or homebuilt experimental aircraft. She thinks that all the males in the family carry a gene that relates to flying in any form! So she created a couple of airplanes and an R/C radio that hobbyists use.

Teri created a free standing lace butterfly and a beautiful butterfly fairy, with wings that look like stained glass! A must-have!

Allene designed a variety for this collection - applique butterfly with placement for crystals if desired, applique hens - can't you see these in a country kitchen on dishtowels? She also has both a Humming Bird, and a dragonfly done in a Jacobean style, and the most beautiful dove with wings that can be done in cutwork style. With weddings and anniversaries coming up, this would be perfect to make a wall hanging or album cover with the names and dates.

And Mary Sue? Well, she did warn us that she has an impish humor! So we all got a good laugh when she finally showed us her design!
